Hillberg & Berk: 1% of sales to women's causes, made in Regina

Hillberg & Berk was founded in Regina in 2007 by Rachel Mielke, who still leads the company. Through its 1% for Women initiative, it commits at least 1% of annual sales to organizations that support women's empowerment and advancement. Roughly 80% of its jewellery is made in Regina, and it designs the official Team Canada jewellery line for the Canadian Olympic Committee. It is also a partner of the Northern Super League, Canada's first professional women's soccer league. In 2017, it made the Sapphire Jubilee Snowflake Brooch that the Government of Canada presented to Queen Elizabeth II, set with sapphires found on Baffin Island.
